Maryan was presented before the Censor Board recently and has come out with a U/A certificate, which means the film is not entitled for a tax exemption. So, the film’s director Bharathbala and producer Ravichandran will meet the Censor Board members to negotiate with them to issue a U, claim reports.

Maryan was earlier expected to release on 21^st June, along with Dhanush’s B-town debut, Raanjhanaa. But, it is now being speculated that the Dhanush-Parvathy Menon starrer will come out on 27^th June, which is a Thursday.
