The latest buzz is that Bollywood Baadshah Shahrukh Khan has made a personal request to popular rapper and performer Yo Yo Honey Singh to write and compose a special song for Chennai Express. The song is supposedly a full blooded tribute to our Superstar Rajinikanth. Honey Singh said that he was surprised to get a call from SRK and could never decline such an offer. The invitation was all the more irresistible since Honey Singh, along with SRK, claim to be huge fans of Rajini.

This development however raises a few eyebrows since it wasn’t originally part of the film or its soundtrack. It is also believed that the film’s music directors Vishal-Shekhar had been bypassed by SRK when he approached Honey Singh. Nevertheless, this is being seen as a masterstroke by SRK to woo the South Indian audience. Moreover, a film titled Chennai Express would be literally incomplete without a mention of Superstar Rajinikanth.

It may be recalled that SRK requested for Rajini’s guest appearance in Ra One in a bid to boost the film’s fortunes down South. Now it looks like SRK is banking on the Rajini factor once again to repeat the magic. All said and done Honey Singh feels that the song on its own will go down well with everyone.
