After tasting success with three films on the trot – Pizza, NKPK and Soodhu Kavvum, Vijay Sethupathi has signed yet another project with a newcomer.

The film will be directed by Vijay Sethupathi’s friend Anand Kumar and the project is titled Vasantha Kumaran. Santhosh Narayanan has been confirmed as the music director for this family entertainer and talks are on with Lakshmi Menon and other young faces to be cast as the two heroines. Studio 9, which acquired the distribution rights of Soodhu Kavvum, will be producing Vasantha Kumaran.

Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi has already commenced work on two projects – Pannaiyaarum Padminiyum and Idharkuthaane Aasaipattai Balakumara. The former being an adaptation of a popular short film while the latter is being made by Rowthiram’s director Gokul and the film also stars Mankatha fame Ashwin K as the other hero.

The other projects in Vijay Sethupathi’s kitty are Rummy, Sangudevan and one with director Seenu Ramasamy as well.
