After getting a much publicized debut with Mani Ratnam’s Kadal, Thulasi Nair signed on for Jiiva’s Yaan next, under Ravi K Chandran’s direction. Her role in this movie would have streaks of villainy and she wouldn’t be the conventional commercial cinema heroine in Yaan, we hear.

In future too, Thulasi would be choosing roles that bring out the performer in her rather than just stick to the glamour, song and dance routine.

She is hoping that Yaan would be a big hit for her in the same way as Ko was, for her elder sister Karthika.
