From the stable of AR Murugadoss...

Here’s an upcoming Tamil film being made in a genre that hasn’t been explored much. Vi Anand, a former assistant of AR Murugadoss is venturing as a director with his maiden project Appuchi Graamam. Talking about his new exciting project, the director said, “This is a science fiction drama - set in the village. The film deals with immense depth of the relationships between the people and the various human emotions that are born when he is subjected to a larger than life situation. Irrespective of the genre, when a film deals with the rise and fall of human emotions, it always leaves a ray of hope and faith.”
 

Produced by Eye Catch Multi Media, who produced the acclaimed ‘A Gun and A Ring’, the film will star GM Kumar, Kumki Joseph, Kanja Karuppu, Singampuli and bunch of new talents. Vishal Chandrasekar, who is presently doing Santosh Siva’s Ceylon, has been roped in to compose tunes for the movie. Prasad GK, who was a part of the camera crew of the Slum Dog Millionaire, will crank the lens and Zashi Qmar will take charge of editing duties.
 

On boldly funding a concept that is new to the industry, the producers of Appuchi Graamam, Vishnu Muralee & V. Senthil Kumar says, "we were looking to produce films with a unique concept, and Appuchi Graamam came with a fresh concept on an unexplored territory that will have a universal appeal.
