Udhayanidhi goes against the government for Vanakkam Chennai

Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s Vanakkam Chennai finally hit screens worldwide this morning but should have been a moment of pride and joy has ended up with a cloud of politics over it. The film has been certified with a U by the censor board, but the tax exemption usually given to U certified movies has been denied by the State Government.

Challenging the decision of the Government, Udhayanidhi Stalin, the producer of the film, said that he will not go down without a fight and without challenging the government’s order. Udhayanidhi has already appealed in court and is expecting a judgment today which he hopes is in his favour.
