Suriya's meager 1200 Rupees salary

On the recent episode of the TV game show that he is hosting, Venkat Prabhu shared some interesting tidbits about Suriya. Not many people know that Suriya was into the garment’s business prior to entering films. He used to travel 60 to 70 kms on his bike on a daily basis during those days for pickup and delivery purposes.


Suriya worked for a meager salary of around 1200 to 1400 rupees it seems. He didn’t get this salary on a regular basis and had to fight on a number of occasions to get his salary regularly.


Venkat Prabhu said that even in those days, Suriya used to do his work with utmost dedication and commitment.
