Work on Venkat Prabhu's Biriyani, his next directorial project after the super hit Mankatha has commenced. Recently a song was recorded for the film. Karthi and Premgi were the singers. This marks Karthi’s debut as a singer. He and Premgi sought the blessings of director Venkat Prabhu and he even gave them singing lessons.
The director was very pleased with the outcome and said that Karthi is a cool singer and the combination of Karthi, Premgi and Yuvan is rocking! Venkat Prabhu revealed that it is common for them to have jam sessions featuring their favorite Ilaiyaraja tracks on the sets and that is when Karthi's singing talent was discovered and he was persuaded to sing!
It was all done in the spirit of fun and friendship and already there is a great vibe for Biriyani. Hansika is the heroine and the supporting cast includes Prasanna and Sam Anderson.
