Petition to ban Annakodi
Jun 27, 2013A writ petition has been filed by AK Raghupathy, president of the Thevar Pasarai Iyakkam, requesting the Madras high Court to ban Bharathiraja’s Annakodi. The petitioner feels that the film has content that would spark communal disharmony.
According to him, the film speaks about the love story of a ‘Thevar’ community girl and a boy from the scheduled cast. He fears the film would contain objectionable scenes and dialogues, which might create public disorder.
Annakodi stars Karthika Nair and Lakshman Narayan in the lead and is releasing tomorrow.
