The legendary actor ‘Kaadhal Mannan’ Gemini Ganesan’s grandson, Abhinay is all set to venture into cinema. He will be playing the lead role in ‘Ramanujan’, a biopic based on the life and achievements of mathematical genius Srinivasa Ramanujam.

The film is being helmed by Gnana Rajasekaran and funded by Camphor Cinema, an up and coming production house. The film stars some of India’s prominent artistes like Bhama, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Abbas, Nizhalgal Ravi, Delhi Ganesh, Y. G. Mahendran and Sarath Babu. International actors like Kevin McGowan, Michael Lieber and Richard Walsh have also signed up to play prominent parts in this Tamil-English bilingual. Ramesh Vinayakam takes credit for the music and Sunny Joseph is behind the lens.

The first schedule, which went on floors on May 15^th 2013, has successfully been wrapped up and the makers are looking to release the film by the end of 2013.
