GV's debut along the lines of Pizza and Soodhu Kavvum

G.V.Prakash's debut as a lead hero has been titled Pencil as reported earlier. Priya Anand will be playing the lead heroine's role in this school based thriller directed by Mani. The film is expected to be a contemporary, new-age movie on the lines of Pizza and Soodhu Kavvum.

GV has been working out, losing weight and has been on a strict diet to look the part as the school-goer. Priya Anand would also be playing a school girl. GV is excited at the same time nervous, as he gets ready to face the camera for the first time as the main protagonist.

GV will also be composing 4 songs for this movie which is expected to be a crisp affair at just around 2 hours. Gopi Amarnath of Pizza fame would be the cinematographer, Rajeevan would handle the production design and Anthony will be editing the film.

The shoots of the film will start in December and will be completed in one stretch. The entire filming is expected to happen in Chennai.
