If we are asked the question, what is Dhanush’s debut film in Hindi, we would all raise our hands and shout out 'Raanjhanaa'. However, the answer would have been different had Boney Kapoor’s project been kicked off.

Boney Kapoor had apparently been impressed by Dhanush’s Kaadhal Kondein and wanted to remake the movie in Hindi with Dhanush in the lead. He also had given him a token advance of rupees one lakh for the same. However, the movie kept getting postponed and eventually Dhanush and Boney Kapoor got busy with other projects.
 

Boney Kapoor had mentioned about the interest he had for Dhanush in a recent interview.
 

“I remember watching Dhanush’s first film and buying the rights. I also remember signing him and giving him Rs 1 lakh. Now I don’t know if he remembers! Right now my aim is to cash out that one lakh that I gave earlier”
