Veteran screenwriter and actor K. Bhagyaraj has been in the news recently regarding the ongoing issues with the makers of Kanna Laddu Thinna Aasaiya. Earlier the two parties seemed to have reached an agreement after Bhagyaraj had issued a court notice to the makers of KLTA on grounds of using his story without due permission.

Even though the makers of KLTA had acknowledged Bhagyaraj’s original story by mentioning it in the title cards of the film, the agreed monetary compensation has supposedly not been met as yet. Bhagyaraj says that he never intended to stall the release of the film because he too knows the struggles and stakes of a producer. His demands as of now are for the team of KLTA to extend a percentage of the film’s earnings as a rightful compensation for using his ‘Indru Poi Naalai Vaa’ story.
