Is Vijay's Thalaivaa politically motivated?

After Vijay’s new film was titled Thalaivaa, there were many speculations that the film will have heavy political overtones. But Vijay has clarified that the movie will not have any political content and the producer Chandraprakash Jain has also said something to the same effect. Vijay isn’t playing a politician in the movie and nothing more is being revealed about the movie, as of now.

 

They have zeroed in on the title as they feel it suited Vijay’s image as well as their story. Director Vijay is currently canning the movie at a brisk pace in Mumbai. The movie is being planned as a May release.
