Unlike some of the other scenes on this list, the transformation doesn’t come as a surprise; instead it’s the return to normalcy that takes us aback. Karthik Subbaraj masterfully draws us into the world of the supposedly delirious pizza delivery boy. After setting up the plot with such an intense portrayal, Vijay Sethupathi nonchalantly switches gears and changes shades without much hoo-ha and this understated revelation works in favor of the film.
