Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom, directed by Balaji Tharaneetharan, has been named the best movie of the year according to a survey published by BBC Tamil. The team is elated and very happy that their maiden attempt has been recognized very well.
Pizza, another movie by a new comer, Karthik Subburaj stands second in the list, say our sources. The remake and dubbing rights of this thriller, alone have crossed the budget of the film.
The news is all the more special to actor Vijay Sethupathy, who played the protagonist in both these films. His Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kaanom will soon be made in Telugu and Kannada. Allari Naresh will play the lead in the Telugu version and Ganesh in Kannada. Leo Visions, the producers of NKPK will produce the Kannada version too and Balaji Tharaneetharan himself will direct the same.
As far as the Telugu remake is concerned, the rights have been sold for a large price and the director and the rest of the cast will be announced soon.
