Nanban and Thuppakki were big breaks for me - Event Story

Actor Sathyan met the press today to share his happiness at having completed 50 films with P.T.Selvakumar’s Onbadhula Guru. He said that his turn as a hero in his early days in cinema, was received with a really muted response as only his family must have seen those movies. Later, after having made the switch to comedy roles, he is happy at the response he is getting.

He particularly pointed out Nanban and Thuppakki in 2012 for having given him a big reach among the audience. People won’t forget his performance as Silencer in Nanban that easily. In Thuppakki, he showed that he could converse in Hindi and English as fluently as in Tamil.

He said that there are 5 heroes and an equal number of heroines in Onbadhula Guru and expects it to be 10 times as funny and entertaining as Nanban. He was confident that his 50th movie would repeat the success achieved by Nanban and Thuppakki.
