'Yuvan is at his absolute best.'

A tasteful stage was setup for the audio launch of director Vasanth’s latest love story titled ‘Moondru Per Moondru Kadhal’. Despite the delayed start, the entire evening was thoroughly enjoyable with lots of humor laced moments that were extracted by the Masters of ceremony Ma Ka Pa Anand and Divyadarshini (DD). The evening, was in many ways a in character of the film’s director Vasanth itself, with its pleasant undercurrents.

The evening began with a brief press conference where the film’s cast was introduced. The notable members on the dias apart from Vasanth were Cheran, Vimal, Muktha Banu and Lasini. The other cast members Arjun and Surveen were guilty of being late.

Many of the speakers on stage quipped that the director never told them the story even once. Towards the end this was revealed to be said as a tongue-in-cheek manner. Regarding the movie, it is learned that this first project from the stables of Mahendra Talkies has three stories in the film but the pairings were not disclosed. Neither was the fact whether the three heroes will ever share the same frame atleast once in the film. This would be one of the suspense elements in the film. The director asserted that this film is not about lovers, but about love.

Cheran said that he agreed to this project almost instantly. Vimal was asked to speak a couple of words and he spoke exactly that much, saying that he was thankful for the experience. Arjun said that his earlier film with the director ‘Rhythm’ would rank in the top 5 favorite films of his career. Director Vasanth topped it off by saying that this film was the most satisfying film he’s made till date, and that was possible only because of the full cooperation of the producers.

The audio launch function saw many notable industry personnel such as K. Balachander, K. Bhagyaraj, K.S Ravikumar, Kushboo, Lingusamy, Prakash Raj, Director Sasi, Dharan, Shantanoo Bhagyaraj and Kazhagu Krishna. Each of them took turns to congratulate Yuvan for his music and wished the film’s team all the success.

During the event, Vasanth provided the fact that Yuvan Shankar Raja was in Class X when he composed for his film Poovellam Kettu Paar and believes he’s got the best out of Yuvan this time around too. The music director himself was quoted as saying that this was probably his best album till date. With regard to the song selection and recording process Yuvan said that he didn’t compose a single new tune for the film. The chosen songs were all stock songs he had earlier recorded and Vasanth merely picked the best ones from the lot.

The stage then welcomed the legendary K. Balachander in whose presence the audio CDs were released. K.B confidently spoke that Yuvan Shankar Raja is at his absolute best in this film and that he was suure that Vasanth too will be at his best. He said that he was not only proud of Vasanth as a director, but sometimes even jealous.

The evening’s entertainment affairs were in top flight with a beautiful medley of Vasanth’s favorite Tamil songs performed by Krish and Priya Hemesh with great soul. The other performances from the evening were by Neha Bhasin and Sathyan who performed tracks from the album. Both being very impressive tunes.

Director Vasanth was extremely thoughtful of the strong support shown by the press with their attendance in the evening. Eventhough he spoke very little about the film revealing almost nothing, it was as if the music spoke about it on his behalf.
