When Mani Ratnam came up with Alaipayudhe with a new face named Madhavan, the film created a huge buzz among the film goers. It was the same case when director Shankar made Boys with a bunch of unknown new faces. Not many directors have the ability to create chatters around the tinsel town even before the release of their film. No doubt one of them is Sundar C. When he made Ullathai Allitha with Karthik, Goundamani and Rambha (back then a new face), it was a super-duper hit. Now, his much anticipated Kalakalappu @ Masala Cafe is all geared up to hit the screens this Friday.

The flick is expected to be an action comedy, with Vimal, Shiva, Santhanam, Anjali and Oviya in the lead. The film also stars John Vijay, Mano Bala and Ilavarasu in supporting roles, adding more ‘Kalakalappu’ to it. Kushboo’s Avni Cinemax and UTV Motion Pictures have come together in producing this comedy caper. Vijay Ebenezer has already captured the hearts of people with his good tunes. UK Senthil has donned the camera. 

When the film’s posters were released, it created heat around Kollywood. The songs themselves were rib tickling, especially ‘Ivalunga Imsai’. The release of this comedy film has been perfectly timed to summer holidays. And who wouldn’t want Santhanam, the best laughing therapist in town to take the stress off from our daily life? The expectations are even more than anticipated. Let’s wait and watch how much water our eyes leak out laughing.
