What with remakes and dubbed films becoming the order of the day, the 2010 Telugu movie Yemaindi Ee Vela is being remade as Ishtam. The film stars Vimal and Nisha Aggarwal in the lead. Nisha is the latest sensation Kajal Aggarwal's sister. Nisha also did the lead role in the original Yemaindi Ee Veal.

Reportedly Istham will place Vimal in a modern role, a breakaway from the roles he playd so far in films like Pasanga, Kalavani, Ethan and Kalakalapu. Ishtam revolves around a city based couple and their trials and tribulations in love. Directed by Prem Nizar and written by Sampath Nandi, the movie is scored by Thaman who is gradually climbing the ladders of fame in Telugu.

Ishtam also has Santhanam, Anoop Kumar, Yuvarani and Pragathi. Produced by T Ramesh, the movie is distributed by Balaji Real Media.
