The D-Day for Maestro Ilayaraja and his legion of fans
Jun 02, 2013 It's a big day for Tamil music as Maestro Ilayaraja celebrates his 70th birthday today, the 2nd of June. The Isaignani has enthralled crores of fans with his music over a span of many decades and still continues to do so. His recent big release was Neethane En Ponvasantham and his music was the biggest highlight of the movie. His upcoming projects include Megha and Onaayum Aatukuttiyum.
Ilayaraja has been bestowed with the Padma Bhushan title by the Government of India and he has also won 4 National Awards, 4 Nandi Awards and 4 Filmfare Awards.Behindwoods wishes the Maestro a very happy birthday and hopes for more musical magic from the great man.
