Ever since the viral 'Kolaveri Di' and then his recognition further boosted by a National Award for Aadukalam, Dhanush has interested many Bollywood filmmakers, who are keen on casting him. He signed up Raanjhnaa opposite Sonam Kapoor and the film is currently queuing up for release.

The other Hindi project that he was being pinned to, was the film based on the ‘Mountain Man’ Dasharath Manjhi. Ketan Mehta was the director who was being associated with the project but he will need to clear some legal hurdles before he can commence work, since another filmmaker, Dhananjay Kapoor, claims to be holding the copyrights to the story and has acquired a stay order on the film’s production.

Only after a resolution is arrived upon, will this project take off.
