As planned, the K-Town actors staged a hunger strike today, 2nd April, against the Sri Lankan Government, at the Nadigar Sangam office, T Nagar. The protest was attended by industry biggies including, Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Ajith, Suriya, Karthi, Dhanush, Simbu, Vikram, Arjun, Arya, Vishal, Jiiva, Bharath, Jayam Ravi, Srikanth, Ameer, Sathyaraj, Sarath Kumar, Vijay Kumar, Arun Vijay, Sibi Raj, Nasser, Siva Kumar, Udhayanidhi Stalin, Vijay Sethupathy, Premgi, Powerstar Srinivasan, Siva Karthikeyan, Vijay Vasanth, Ashwin K and many others.

Among the ladies were Radhikaa Sarath Kumar, Trisha, Lakshmi Rai, Oorvasi, Radha, Dhansikaa, Monica, Namitha, Ramya Krishnan, Lakshmy Ramakrishnan, Sonia Agarwal and Kasthuri.

Kamal Haasan arrived only in the evening, supposedly due to his unnavoidable commitments. Vijay on the other hand couldnt attend the protest due to his Australian schedule for Thalaivaa. However, he expressed his support for the protest through a letter, which Sarath Kumar read out in public during the demonstration.
