Poorna had made her debut in the Tamil industry with the Bharath starrer Muniyaandi Vilangiyal Moondraamaandu in 2008. During the audio launch of that movie, Vijay had proclaimed that Poorna was another ‘Chinna Asin’ in the making.

We have to admit that Poorna shares more than a mere resemblance to her more illustrious colleague from Kerala.

Now, Poorna is back and running in the Tamil industry after a brief spell in Andhra and she hopes to get an offer to work opposite Vijay based on the success of the current films that she is doing.

Asin had worked with Vijay in hit films such as Kaavalan, Pokkiri and Sivakasi over the course of her successful stay in Kollywood and we now hope that Poorna’s optimism with respect to Vijay, pays off too.
