'Karu Palaniappan knows what he's doing' - Parthiban - Event Story

The team of Karu Palaniappan’s Jannal Oram met the press recently to divulge more information about the film, which is an official remake of the acclaimed Malayalam movie ‘Ordinary’.

Manisha Yadav of Vazhakku Enn 18/9 fame spoke of her pleasure working on a project directed by Karu Palaniappan and how much fun the whole experience was. Poorna was thankful and felt honored to be essaying the role played by Ann Augustine in the original. She was all praise of the unit.

Actor Parthiban grew nostalgic of the days when Karu Palaniappan was one of his assistants and that his contributions were very many. Parthiban also noticed that Karu Palaniappan had equally talented A.Ds in his ranks today. He said that actors usually attach more fondness to the roles that they essay but with regard to this film he had enjoyed Karu Palaniappan’s enactment more. He was appreciative of the director and highlighted his speech by saying that Karu Palaniappan knew exactly what he was doing and extracts exactly what he wants. Actors Vidharth and Vimal expressed their happiness to be a part of such a film.

Karu Palaniappan opened up by crediting his cast as rich in talent and that he was never compelled to work with big stars. He was happy of the fact that he was working with Parthiban again. He was particularly complimentary of Vimal’s level-headedness despite having a release almost every Friday. He revealed that there was no hero or heroine in the film and that the entire shooting took place in a single set erected in Kerala. The film travels from Palani to Pannaikadu. He wrapped up his speech mentioning his long term association with composer Vidyasagar which continues even in Jannal Oram.
