Maapillai, the remake of yesteryear Rajinikanth’s super duper hit of the same name, stars his son-in-law Dhanush. The film is being directed by Suraaj, the director who had directed the actor in Padikathavan.
Maapillai has Hansika Motwani as Dhanush’s lead pair and Bollywood star Manisha Koirala playing his mother-in-law, a very meaty character. This film is said to hit the screens during the first week of April.
Sources in Kollywood state that with this film also gearing up for April release, it will have a tough competition with Ko and Engeyum Kadhal.
