Popular writer and Professor Sukumaran Alikode has filed a defamation case against the Malayalam Superstar Mohanlal at the Thrissur Magistrate Court. According to the complainant, Mohanlal had made a defamatory speech during a recent meeting questioning his intelligence quotient and when he sought an apology from the star he refused by saying that the issue will be taken up by the Malayalam Film Artistes Association.
Sukumaran and Mohanlal’s tiff dates back to some years as the writer strongly supports the cause of actor Thilakan, who was banned from acting in Malayalam films.
The writer has sought an apology and a compensation amounting to 10 lakhs.
