In mainstream cinema, female characters and heroines are usually sidelined to predictable roles or the usual song and dance routine. But there have been some instances where they have been characterized beautifully and their roles prioritized with high regard. The credit would be attributed to the director for etching it out and presenting it and obviously to the actress for bringing it to life on screen.

Gautham Menon – Jessy (Trisha) in VTV – Love can be a tricky proposition and women can be complex. When you make a concoction of both those ingredients there are bound to be few sparks flying. The sparks in this case came in the form of Trisha’s performance while Gautham Menon would be responsible for masterminding the character.
