If there is a credit for the often overused story technique in Tamil cinema, flashbacks will win it hands down. Beginning of the story, in the middle or in the end – they are liberally strewn in our movies to drive momentum in a story. Flashbacks are very effective story telling tools if they are crafted in such a way to go with the flow of the movie.
