Selvaraghavan announces his retirement after his second child in October

Audio of Selvaraghavan’s Irandam Ulagam is all set to hit the stores soon and the director is expected to be in an upbeat mood. But on the contrary, Selva is not seen in his elements. While recuperating from a mild heart attack, the Aayirathil Oruvan director, in an interview to a vernacular weekly, laments about Thamizh (films) being pushed behind English and Hindi in Chennai.

He also adds that he had come to the industry at a young age of 23 with a lot of dreams but at his current age of 37, feels he has not moved any further and is seriously contemplating retirement. He says that after Irandam Ulagam, he wants to call it a day and states that he is settled down in his family life with wife and daughter Lilavathi and in October with an arrival of one more child, his family also will be complete.

Fans of Selvaraghavan while feeling happy about the addition to his family would definitely feel that he should reconsider his decision about retirement.
