KOMBAN MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

Karthi, Rajkiran, Kovai Sarala and Lakshmi Menon starrer Komban is all set to release tomorrow (April 1st, 2015). Directed by M. Muthaiah and with music composed by GV Prakash, Komban is a rural mass entertainer catering to the family crowd. 

While the camera work is done by Velraj and editing by Praveen K. L, the trailer of the film received a good response by taking us back to the Paruthiveeran look of Karthi. About Karthi's performance in this film, editor Praveen said, "Karthi has taken conscious efforts to perform differently and not make it look like it is the hangover of Paruthiveeran. For instance he initially thought of not having the mustache like Paruthiveeran, but when he went to that village he saw everyone typically styled with that mustache. Hence, Karthi had to keep it to showcase the nativity".  

He also said, "Karthi gets married half way through the film and it is a daring step to act as a married hero. Be it his looks, the slang or the dubbing, this will be one of the best performances for Karthi and a treat for his fans".

From the trailer, the story looks very native and realistic. What can be expected from the film? Praveen said, "Komban is primarily a film that deals with the dynamics of the relationship between father-in-law and son-in-law. Though the censor board declared the film with a U/A, it is an out and out family entertainer. It showcases the journey and the gradual shift of perception between the father-in-law and son-in-law about each other, and how they unite to face a common enemy in the second half".

Further he said, "This film is also very close to director Muthaiah as it depicts instances from his real life. It is one of the special films for him".

About how the film has turned out for Lakshmi Menon, she said, "Again you will see me in the same homely role. But the script is very strong and the subject involves a lot of acting scope".
