KOCHADAIIYAAN MOVIE RELEASE EXPECTATION

It is going to be the mother of all celebrations on May 9^th 2014 for Superstar fans as his Kochadaiiyaan is all set to hit the marquee in grand style just like the actor himself.
 

One does not need a reason to watch a Rajinikanth film as the mere presence of the star on silver screen is enough to give the feel of a grand festival.
 

All the same, Behindwoods attempts to bring out some of the highlights of this flick directed by the legend’s daughter Soundarya Ashwin in which K S Ravikumar takes charge of story, screenplay and dialogues.
 

Besides the Superstar, Kochadaiiyaan stars Deepika Padukone, Nasser, Rukmini, Shobana, Aadhi, and Jackie Shroff among others. AR Rahman has scored the music.

• Kochadaiiyaan is the first ever Indian film done on photorealistic performance capture technology with the actors performing, with 40 cameras shooting at the same time and translated into a digital image to give a fantasy feel.
• As per Soundarya, “Things that are not possible or rather difficult in a live action film, you can achieve them using this technology which has helped to get a larger than life aspect in terms of sets and locations”
• K S Ravikumar feels that the character of Kochadaiiyaan is the specialty of the film and that the war scenes, songs and fights would give a totally different experience.
• About the music of the film, hero Rajinikanth says that Rahman has given the best music in Kochadaiiyaan which would take the film to a great level.
• According to Ashok Amritraj, a film producer, “Visual effects technology, motion control, digital technology has taken great strides in Hollywood and around the world. Kochadaiiyaan is the first movie in India to use this cutting edge digital technology to provide the audience with a movie going experience which the parents and children will enjoy”
• Kochadaiiyaan also has made a bygone era legend Nagesh come alive.
• There is a ‘Rudra Thandavam’ of Rajinikanth which is going to stand tall among all the scenes and also the Superstar has lent his voice for the song 'Maatram' albeit in a verse rendition format.
   

To sum it all up in Editor Anthony’s words- Kochadaiiyaan will have all the commercial elements that are required for a ‘Thalaivar’ flick.
