EXPECTATION METER



The title of Superstar Rajinikanth’s film of 1985 returns in 2014 for this Vishal starrer directed by Thiru. Narcolepsy, a sleep disorder condition, for the first time in Tamil films is the premise.
 
For director Thiru who has already worked with Vishal in Theeradha Vilayaatu Pillai and Samar, Naan Sigappu Manithan (NSM) is the third film with the tall, dark, handsome hero. 
 
Thiru highlights the reasons on why should one spend their money and time on Naan Sigappu Manithan
 
“Firstly, NSM is going to give the viewers, a totally different experience.”
 
“There would be new characterization, scenes, love track and they are all going to be in a new format.”
 
“For the first time, Narcolepsy is handled but in a quite understandable manner, the evident testimony being the tremendous response for the trailer from the audience.”

But with his remarkable body language and mannerisms he has brought life to his role. There are scenes where he had to fall flat abruptly and with his height, it is actually difficult. But he never complained and delivered the goods perfectly.”
 
“Lakshmi Menon is a very cooperative artist whose earlier combo with Vishal in Pandiya Nadu was much talked about. Her underwater scene with Vishal in a swimming pool has come out very well.”
 
“All other supporting cast members like Iniya, Saranya, Jayaprakash, Sundar Ramu and Jagan have all done their parts so naturally that you would not feel they are acting.”
 
“G V Prakash Kumar has given us songs that would be in sync with the story and nowhere would the audience feel that the songs are unwarranted.”
