The wait is finally over, the first look teaser of Kochadaiiyaan is out and has put all speculations about the project being shelved to rest. First things first, Superstar Rajinikanth is back, and has made this festive morning even more auspicious.

As far as the teaser cut goes it spells grandeur in its idea and presentation. Riding on the ‘living legend’ status of Superstar Rajinikanth the clipping makes a good first impression with the quality of CG output. The bits of action sequences pieced together are particularly exciting. But the teaser’s highlight would definitely have to be Rajini walking towards the camera in his trademark style, proving the worth and the potential of the performance capturing technology. Kudos to Soundarya Rajinikanth for investing a great deal of effort in it. The stage is now set for an epic tale !

As far as Rahman’s music goes, it’s safe to assume that the best is yet to come because the composer feeds this short clip mostly with charged percussions. The real sounds of Kochadaiiyaan will be heard in October when the soundtrack is released.
