Fans frenzy on showcase at the Alex Pandian musical night - Event Story

The Alex Pandian musical night which was held yesterday evening at the YMCA Grounds in Chennai was received with an overwhelming response from fans and families alike. The event saw a surge of Suriya and Karthi fans and they couldn’t control their joy at seeing the two stars. In all, thousands of viewers witnessed this event on a pleasant evening in Chennai yesterday.

Other celebrities who attended this gala event include lead heroine Anushka, director Suraj, director – actor S.J.Suryah, G.V.Prakash, director Lingusamy and director Suseenthiran. It must be noted that both Lingusamy and Suseenthiran have been involved with Karthi in successful movies like Paiyaa and Naan Mahaan Alla respectively. Lingusamy is next set to do a film with Suriya in early 2013.

Among the performers on stage were composer Dev Sri Prasad who was a bundle of unbridled enthusiasm and energy as always. Singer Karthik also performed on stage in his inimitable elegant style. Actresses Dhansika and Neetu Chandra danced to the tunes of Alex Pandian and the two provided a feast to the audience with their stylish and bouncy moves.   

Other popular Karthi and Suriya numbers in the recent past were also played at the event much to the delight of the fans that had turned up in large numbers.

The main stage was decked up in a grand manner replete with LED screens and the entire arena was brimming with posters and cutouts of Karthi and Suriya. When Suriya went up on stage to speak a few words, the audiences were literally in frenzy mode as the noise levels hit the roof. Karthi’s little dance performance for the popular ‘Bad Boy’ number was the highlight of the event as his fans clapped and cheered all the way through his performance.

Behindwoods was also associated with the event through a contest which saw around 70 fans being given complimentary passes for the event. On the whole, this event was a grand success and seeing the response that the songs of Alex Pandian were given, one can safely say that the movie is set for a grand opening when it opens next week for the Pongal weekend.
