Sripathi Panditaradhyula Balasubrahmanyam aka S P Balasubrahmanyam also called fondly as SPB celebrates his birthday today, the 4^th June.

The iconic musical giant started his career in playback singing way back in the 60s and still continues to enthrall his listeners with his magical voice. In his illustrious career spanning more than five decades, SPB has been a part of various creative endeavors from producing to composing music to acting and has excelled in every sector.

Awards and accolades are part and parcel of this amicable singer who holds the Guinness World record for the highest number of songs sung, National Award for best playback singing six times and many such prestigious honors. He also holds the country’s main civilian awards, the Padmashree and the Padmabhushan.

He will soon be seen in director Madhumitha’s next film Moonae Moonu Varthai along with Lakshmi.
