THE STRONG VOICES BEHIND OUR ARTISTS

In films, voice plays a major role and gives strength to the characters. In that sense, the role of dubbing artists is significant as there are many heroines today who find it difficult to dub for themselves. That’s the reason, Behindwoods chose to honor the voice behind our artists in both male and female categories at the recently held BW Gold awards function.

Geegee who is a popular dubbing artist spoke for Catherine Tresa in the film Madras which fetched her the BW Gold Best Dubbing Artist - Female. The young lady even spoke a famous phrase from the film.

On the other hand Samuthirakani won the BW Gold Best Dubbing Artist - Male for Golisoda in which he spoke for villain Madhusudhan Rao. Apparently this is the first time Samuthirakani is getting an award for dubbing. Recalling how he came into dubbing, the multitalented Kani said, “I was casually brought into this by director Ameer in Paruthiveeran”. Kani is also the voice behind Kishore in Aadukalam.
