Bhagyaraj turns 61

Renowned director K. Bhagyaraj is turning 61 today, 7th January. Born to Krishnaswamy and Amaravathiamma in 1953, he started his career as assistant director to Bharathiraja in 16 Vayathinilae and his directorial debut happened with Suvarilladha Chiththirangal .

Bhagyaraj is recognized for his scriptwriting talent. He won a Filmfare Best Actor Award for Mundhanai Mudichu(1983). He is also an editor of weekly magazine Bhagya and has penned several novels.
