Hot - Mani Ratnam finally opts for the youth sensation

After Kadal, Mani Ratnam didn't begin work on his next project right away. There were many speculations doing the rounds about the legend's next and names such as Mahesh Babu, Nagarjuna, Aishwarya Rai and Shruti Haasan were doing the rounds for a Tamil - Telugu bilingual.

 

Now it looks like Malayalam's youth sensation, Dulquer Salmaan (Mammootty's son) would be the male lead in Mani's next, which is expected to begin filming in September-end or the first week of October, in Chennai. This would be an exclusive Tamil film, marking Dulquer's 2nd here after Vaayai Moodi Pesavum.

 

We also hear that A.R.Rahman would continue as Mani's composer this time around too, and Vairamuthu would pen the lyrics. The hunt for a young heroine is going on and a leading cameraman is also being scouted by Madras Talkies, the producers. The casting for the other roles is also going on.
