“What Ajith told me during Mankatha became my guiding light”

Piaa Bajpai’s performance and role in K V Anand’s Ko was much appreciated and later on she was seen in Sattam Oru Iruttarai (SOI) directed by Sneha Britto. From then on, the chirpy girl was not to be seen in Kollywood screens but now she is all set to dazzle with her lively acts in Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s untitled film that is said to be inspired from the recent petrol crisis in Tamil Nadu.

To a poser on her absence in Tamil films, the Bale Pandiya heroine says that although she got quite a few offers post SOI but none of them were interesting enough. She also recalls a conversation she had with Ajith during the making of Mankatha when Pia visited him on the sets that went on to become her guiding light. 

She states, “Ajith sir said that working to pay one’s bills is understandable but that would only result in accepting whatever roles that come your way. If you want to prove yourself, it is best to be patient and reap its benefits.”

And Piaa attributes this to be reason for her not signing on any project but is now happy to be a part of Lakshmy Ramakrishnan’s project. Best wishes Piaa!
