Karthika Nair’s role inspired from Lara Croft

Team Purampokku, led by director Jhananathan has completed their Kullu-Manali schedule and is off to Jodhpur now. The lead lady of the project, Karthika Nair is overwhelmed with the kind of role she has been offered.

The enthusiastic actress said, “I’ve shot in many countries for different films, but this schedule will be one of my most memorable for various reasons. For one, my role in Purampokku is an action packed one and this schedule was not only extremely challenging, but also highly adventurous. The looks of my character have been inspired from the popular video game character Lara Croft and I’m excited about that. Also, I believe that the tap dance I’ve done in the movie will earn me good recognition.”
 

She also thanked Jhananathan for the faith he has invested on her and akins him to a history professor. “He makes sure that he has got the facts right before starting anything and his knowledge about the world is amazing,” she justifies her statement.
 

Purampokku stars Arya, Vijay Sethupathi and Shaam in the lead and is being produced by Ronnie Screwvala and Siddharth Roy Kapur of UTV Motion Pictures.
