The film has raked around Rs 10.5 crores at the TN BO and has been declared a hit. The content of the film has been appreciated across all quarters, with audiences calling the film- “a laugh riot” and “the best comedy ever”!

 

Fox Star Studios and C.V. Kumar are now planning a sequel to Mundasupatti, which would again have an interesting superstition as its background. The makers are inviting the audiences who have watched the film, to come back with interesting & engaging ideas for the sequel. A huge cash award awaits the winner who comes up with the best story. The same will also be made into a film. Fox Star Studios and C.V. Kumar are aiming to begin Mundasupatti 2 by early next year.
