How is Lingaa faring in Week 2 ?

There has been a big public interest over how Lingaa is faring in Week 2, that too after a couple of local distributors claimed that the film wasn't doing well. The main TN distributor of Lingaa, Vendhar Movies, then came up with an official clarification to address the furor.

In Chennai city, Lingaa set a new benchmark this year for opening weekend collections. In Week 2, the film is continuing in all the Week 1 centers except Woodlands, where the Chennai International Film Festival is being held currently. There has obviously been a reduction in screens and shows at the multiplexes, and this is something which happens for every big film in Week 2. The numerous special shows in the first weekend, are also missing for the 2nd weekend.
