Mysskin's Pisaasu is a huge crowd puller

Director Mysskin's latest outing, the horror thriller Pisaasu, made at a shoestring budget, is well on its way to emerge as a huge box office hit. Backed by great reviews from critics and the general audiences, the film is seeing some terrific advance bookings across Chennai city's theaters this weekend. Fans are finding it hard to get a ticket and most of them have to wait for the weekdays, to catch a glimpse of Pisaasu.

Released by Sri Thenandal Films in good number of screens, despite Lingaa's release last week, Pisaasu is on the way up and may well see an increase in screens too. Given the release of 4 more movies on 25th for Christmas, we have to see how Pisaasu handles the intense year-end competition.

This reception again proves that horror is a big-time favorite among the audience. And for director Mysskin, this box-office success must be a real relief after his previous movies like Onaayum Aattukuttiyum and Nandalala could muster great reviews but not monetary success.
