All legal decks cleared for Lingaa's release

In the long running legal battle in the Madras High Court surrounding plagiarism charges on the Lingaa team by K.R. Ravi Rathinam (the producer of a film with a supposedly similar story called Mullaivanam 999), the court has ordered the producer of Lingaa, Rockline Venkatesh to deposit 10 crores in cash by 12 noon tomorrow. The producer has agreed to abide and pay this 5 crores deposit and 5 crores guarantee on time, thereby ensuring a smooth global release for the movie as planned.

Meanwhile, the advance bookings for the movie are going on in full swing in all theaters across Chennai city and the state, and the opening weekend is expected to be full to the brim. Special midnight shows at 1 am are also being planned in some theaters and the response and frenzy from fans and audiences befits the Superstar's stature as the box-office boss.
