Such is his appeal here. Malayalam Superstar Mammootty is as much loved in Tamil Nadu as he is in Kerala. He is so good an actor that he continues his dream run in cinema, even in this era of new wave cinema's youngsters, led by his son, Dulquer Salman.

 

With a career spanning close to three decades and close to 400 movies behind him, the actor has got three National Awards. In Tamil, he has acted in some popular multistarrers: Thalapathi with Rajinikanth, Kandukondain Kandukondain with Thala Ajith, Ethirum Puthirum with Napoleon, Lingusamy's family flick Aanandham, and Vandhae Maatharam with Arjun.
