Suriya's fans are a very active presence in the social media space and the Anjaan star has a sizable fan following in the internet. This weekend, "Stalwart Suriya In 17 Years Of Cinema", was the trending hashtag among Suriya's fans in Twitter as it's been 17 years since the handsome star made an entry into filmdom with Vasanth's Nerukku Ner (released on 6th September 1997), alongside Vijay and Simran. Since then, his journey has been dotted with great performances, numerous make-overs, notable commercial hits and many awards.

Nandha gave Suriya that much-needed fillip and since then, there has been no looking back for him. The audience have so much expectations and trust over his skills and abilities, that even his sub-standard films are overlooked as an exception to the rule.

Currently busy with Masss, Suriya would be looking to bounce back to his level with a Bang. All the very best !!!
