Will Suriya and Gautham Menon work together again?

Gautham Menon and Suriya were among the most bankable director - hero pairs in the industry. Their films such as Kaakha Kaakha and Vaaranam Aayiram are raved about even today. They were supposed to work again in Dhruva Natchathiram last year, but the project didn't happen due to certain issues and this fall-out was widely reported by the media last year.

 

Gautham is now busy with his Ajith film, and is still ready to work with Suriya under the right circumstances. This is what he had to say.

 

"It's not that I don't wish to work with Suriya again. If such a story and situation work out, I will surely join hands with him again. Directors definitely need big stars as we can't work on grand scripts and big budgets with newcomers. Currently I have about 3 to 4 stories and all of them need a big star to execute them.

 

Right now, I am not clear about Suriya's focus and the type of films that he wishes to do. Before, I thought I understood his working style and patterns well, but I am not very sure now"

 

The director is still optimistic about joining hands with the Singam star in the near future, when he feels sure that Suriya would be willing to work in his style of script and screenplay.
