Exclusive - Legal relief for Gautham Menon

An exclusive press note coming in just now, informs that the FIR that was filed against Director Gautham Menon following a complaint by RS Infotainment has been quashed by the High Court of Madras. The press note is as follows.
 

"The FIR that was filed against Gautham Menon and the directors of Photon Kathaas has been quashed by the Hon’ble High Court and the Court has relieved them of the harassment at the hands of RS Infotainment Pvt. Ltd.

 

There is no truth in the claims of Mr. Jayaraman and RS infotainment, informs the counsel of Gautham Vasudev Menon. In fact, Mr.Jayaraman is guilty of suppression of facts such as:
 

- On 03.04.13, Mr.Jayaraman, Director of M/s.R.S Infotainment Pvt had filed a complaint before the Commissioner of Police, Egmore, against the Directors of M/s.Photon Khataas Production Private Limited and Mr.Gautham Vasudev Menon. After enquiry, the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, Egmore, Chennai had closed the complaint.

 

- Thereafter, Mr.Jayaraman, had filed the same complaint before the Hon’ble Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet, suppressing the earlier report of the CCB. Enquiry was again conducted by the Inspector of Police, T.Nagar Police Station, and a report was filed before the Hon’ble Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet.

 

Shockingly suppressing all the aforesaid facts, more particularly the earlier report of the Central Crime Branch, the orders of the Hon’ble High Court, Madras in the Anticipatory Bail proceedings and also suppressing the order of the Hon’ble Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet and the reports filed by them, Mr.Jayaraman, once again had filed the same case before the Hon’ble High Court, Madras. Subsequently a FIR was registered against Gautham Menon and Photon Kathaas. 

The Counsel for Mr. Gautham Vasudev Menon appraised the aforesaid facts before the Hon’ble High Court, Madras and that Mr.Jayaraman, Director of M/s.R.S Infotainment Pvt is guilty of suppression of true facts. 

The Counsel for Mr. Gautham Vasudev Menon further submitted that, in fact the Hon’ble Metropolitan Magistrate, Saidapet has observed in her order dated 31.01.14 that Mr.Jayaraman, Director of M/s.R.S Infotainment Pvt has not disclosed earlier proceedings, enquiry conducted by the Inspector of Police, Central Crime Branch, Egmore, Chennai, and the earlier High Court orders in the complaint.

 

Convinced by the aforesaid submissions, the Hon’ble High Court, Madras was pleased to quash the FIR against Gautham Menon and Photon Kathaas."
