The audio launch of Kiruthiga Udhayanidhi’s Vanakkam Chennai is presently happening at a popular radio channel and the team consisting of the director, hero Shiva, female lead Priya Anand, composer Anirudh, lyricist Madhan Karky, cinematographer Richard M Nathan and producer Udhayanidhi stalin are having blast at the event.

While speaking on why he agreed to fund the movie, Udhayanidhi Stalin pointed out that Santhanam’s presence as one of the reasons. It seems Santhanam will only be seen in the second half of the movie. But, Udhayanidhi is confident about the success of the film and believes that Vanakkam Chennai has an extraordinary script.

The other interesting development from the sets of the films is that Anirudh was spotted shaking a leg for a song from the film. However, he’ll not star in the film. This shoot was for a promo song from the film and looking at Anirudh’s Chennai Super Kings costume, it leads us to believe that the promo might be for the song, Chennai City Gangsta.
